Deacon & Deacon Insurance Agency is a locally owned, independent insurance and employee benefits consulting firm located in downtown Charleston, WV. We work with individuals, families, and West Virginia businesses of all sizes to assist with planning for a secure financial future.

History
Founder - Joe H. Deacon II, CLU, LUTCF, began his career in the insurance business with Prudential after graduating from Marshall with a degree in Business and a minor in Marketing. He worked with Prudential for twenty years, and worked as an agent, manager, regional manager, and trainer. He then decided to go into business for himself. Joe is an expert in employee benefits and group insurance, as well as life insurance, disability insurance, estate planning, and many other areas. He has worked to earn his CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) from The American College and is a LUTCF fellow. These designations represent expertise in the insurance and investment business.
Partner - Joseph H. Deacon III graduated from Hampden-Sydney College with a B.A. in Managerial Economics, then worked with John Hancock Financial Services and New York Life before joining his father in 2006 to form Deacon & Deacon Insurance Agency. Joseph specializes in employee benefits/group insurance, individual and family health insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, long term care insurance, annuities, 401 (k) rollovers, business succesion planning, estate planning, and more.
