Dr. Erin Wilbanks
Dr. Erin Wilbanks was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from Louisiana State University. Then she went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans. After discovering an interest in health and wellness during her dental school training, Dr. Wilbanks knew she wanted to practice as a biological dentist. She joined the International Academy of Medicine and Toxicology in 2018.
Dr. Wilbanks is an accredited IAOMT member, is SMART (Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal Technique) certified, and is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry.
Patient Care
Dr. Wilbanks has a passion for prevention. She believes that setting the proper environment for the oral cavity is the most impactful thing you can do for oral health- establishing proper breathing, identifying oral ties, expanding the jaws, balancing the oral microbiome, and having proper nutrition and hygiene habits. Dr. Wilbanks prides herself on patient education and loves working with her patients to help identify all of the missing puzzle pieces that could be contributing to their current dental problems.
Away from the office
In her free time, Dr. Wilbanks enjoys hiking with her boyfriend, Bryson, and two rescue dogs, Dixie and Molly. She also finds her interests in staying active, cooking, visiting the mountains, trying new restaurants and spots around Charlotte, and traveling to new places.
