Dr. Murchie was born and raised in Falls Church before coming to Richmond for further study. He attended the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry, where he graduated with honors in 2000 before transferring to MCV/VCU for his post-graduate residency.
Despite his numerous professional obligations, Dr. Murchie remains a fixture in the neighborhood. He is a Clinician's Report evaluator and volunteers at Virginia Home, where he helps with disabled patients.
