Dr. Taryll L Jenkins, MD
Dr. Taryll Jenkins heads Jenkins Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Medicine. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge in 1998 and his Doctorate of Medicine from Meharry Medical College School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee in 2002. He underwent obstetrics and gynecology residential training at University of Texas and Hermann Hospital in Houston.
Among the awards and honors he has won are those from Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, Meharry Medical Student Research Fellowship, Sue Minter Memorial Scholarship Award, and Dean's List, Meharry Medical College.
He has worked at, among other places, University of Texas, Hermann Hospital, Big Brother/Big Sister Program (advisor), and Academic Assistant/Tutor at Meharry Medical College. Among his voluntary work are George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Meharry Day Care Center of Meharry Medical College, and Our Kids' Center, Nashville. He has also helped kids as an Assistant Baseball Coach in West Charlotte Park, Nashville.
