Dr. Tiffany Ikwuagwu, MD
The team at Jenkins Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Medicine is excited to welcome Tiffany Ikwuagwu, MD to our practice in Katy and Houston, TX. As a long-time Houston resident and an active member of the American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, and American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Dr. Ikwuagwu is passionate about caring for our diverse community in Katy and Houston.
Dr. Ikwuagwu received her undergraduate degree from the University of Houston and her medical degree from the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. After medical school, she completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology from the McGovern Medical School in Houston.
As principal investigator working with Dr. Nana Ankumah at UT Houston, Dr. Ikwuagwu compared the maternal/neonatal outcomes of women diagnosed with hypertensive disorders of pregnancy both prior to and after the 2013 Hypertension in Pregnancy Task Force Guidelines.
Dr. Ikwuagwu has served in a number of leadership and service roles, including serving as the president of the Student National Medical Association - Baylor College of Medicine chapter and participating in the Gynecology and Obstetrician Interest Group, Advisory Committee for Transition to Medicine course, and Women's Health Elective Student Facilitator. In addition, Dr. Ikwuagwu has served the greater Houston community as site director of the "Texas Two-Step" Mass CPR event, a pediatric diabetes lecturer at a local elementary school, and a volunteer at Dia de La Mujer and Saturday Morning Science.
