"In 1973, Bernard J. Favaro and Albert M. Lavezzo founded what would grow to become Favaro, Lavezzo, Gill, Caretti & Heppell, P.C., one of the largest and oldest firms in the North Bay Area.
Bernard J. Favaro began practicing law in Vallejo in 1952, working primarily in the areas of probate, governmental law, and business litigation. He was admitted to practice in California in 1950, after graduating summa cum laude from the University of Idaho, earning an LL.B. from Stanford University, and serving on active duty with the United States Marine Corps. He served as President of the Solano County Bar Association in 1960 and was a member of the Vallejo City Civil Service Commission from 1960-1970. Mr. Favaro served as Chief Counsel to the Amateur Athletic Union of the U.S. from 1973-1980, and from 1980-1998, was Chief Counsel to U.S. Aquatic Sports, Inc. Mr. Favaro is currently retired, entrusting the firm's continued growth and success to founder Albert M. Lavezzo and our other hard-working legal professionals.
