Ian Wylie and Karen Lauck started what is now FsboMichigan in 2003. Ian (with a background in warehouse management and small business ownership) and Karen (with a background as teacher, pianist, and small business owner) sold a property in Madison, WI in 2002 on Madison's for-sale-by-owner website. The experience was so positive-they got an offer the first day, and the buyers, who had made a cash offer, went home and sold their home on the same website within 24 hours-that they decided to offer the same service in Lansing, Michigan. Fsbolansing.com was launched in March of 2003: 35 signs installed over 3 days in frigid and sometimes blizzard conditions!
Fsbolansing.com was such a success that the service was licensed across Michigan. Fsbolansing became FsboMichigan.com. (fsbolansing.com will still get you to the Lansing home page.) We teach people how to sell their own homes and make it easy to buy houses in Michigan.
