Guarantee Real Estate
In 1919 a Building and Loan company named Guarantee first opened its doors in Fresno.
With it began a long-line of companies whose primary focus was to help families in the Central San Joaquin Valley buy and sell their homes.
Over the years Americans have experienced many troubling economic times; including the Great Depression and World War II. It was during these hard times that Guarantee became recognized and appreciated by homeowners in the Central Valley for putting its clients' needs first. Because of this business philosophy Guarantee evolved into the Valley's most trusted Savings and Loan company.
In 1984 Guarantee Savings recognized a need for a high-quality real estate brokerage firm in the Fresno community. Guarantee Real Estate was established by purchasing an existing mid-sized real estate company with 30 Associates.
Guarantee Real Estate President, Scott Leonard, has provided leadership to the firm since 1985. Having adopted the Savings and Loan's philosophy of providing quality customer service, Guarantee Real Estate has prospered and grown to over 450 Associates with thirteen offices in Fresno, Clovis, Prather, Shaver Lake, Reedley, Kingsburg, and Visalia.
With an interest in doing business in the Central Valley, Glendale Federal Bank purchased the successful Guarantee Savings and Guarantee Real Estate in 1987.
In 1991, new banking regulations prohibited banks from owning real estate brokerages and Guarantee Real Estate was sold to Leonard, Joan Eaton, and Paul Gibson.
Guarantee's roots run deep in the Central Valley. With a dedication to giving back to the communities they serve, the Guarantee Good Will Network was established in 2007. Through this charitable giving fund, Guarantee, its Associates, and employees have combined efforts to support local nonprofits that improve quality of life or provide shelter to people in need.
As the company grew locally, Leonard, Eaton, and Gibson continued to look for ways to expand and enhance services to their clients and Associates. In 2013 Guarantee Real Estate became a wholly-owned subsidiary of HomeServices of America, Inc., a Berkshire Hathaway affiliate. HomeServices is the second-largest full-service independent residential real estate brokerage firm.
Guarantee continues to attract the most professional and knowledgeable Sales Associates in the region. On-going education, state-of-the-art technology, advanced marketing, and seasoned management support allow its Associates to provide the best real estate services available. Since opening, Guarantee Real Estate has represented more homebuyers and sellers than any other real estate firm in the Central Valley. Going forward Guarantee will continue to focus on the same values it has held for nearly 100 years: To deliver exceptional client services, to provide an encouraging work environment for its associates, and to remain generous in giving back to our community.
