Since graduating from Louisiana State University Law School in 1976, I have practiced civil trial law in south Louisiana. I spent the first two years of my practice in New Orleans, Louisiana. Since that time, my practice has been located in Lafayette, Louisiana, where my law firm is based today. After being raised primarily in Alexandria, Louisiana, I attended Louisiana College and Louisiana State University, receiving a Juris Doctorate degree in 1976. My professional affiliations include being a long-time member of the American Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Louisiana Association for Justice (Board of Governors, 1994-2002), the Louisiana Association of Consumer Advocates, and the American Association for Justice.

I am proud to be nationally certified as a civil trial advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Two national rating agencies have given me their highest rating for competence and integrity based upon surveys of my fellow lawyers. These are Martindale-Hubbell and the "Super Lawyers" peer survey of Law & Politics Magazine.
