Joel W. Price
I was raised in Fort Smith and formally educated in Arkansas, although, I have gained tremendous knowledge from non-formal "education", including: from being a "soda jerk" at the Canteen annexed to the theatre at Camp Chaffee; a "delivery boy" for a local pharmacy; a "stock boy" for a local retailer; a "fry cook" at a college fraternity; a "welder's helper" in the gas fields of Texas and Kansas; a "roustabout" on a production platform in the Gulf of Mexico; and a "night auditor" at a resort development community on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
My years of manual labor, coupled with my formal legal education and more than 30 years of legal experience give me unique perspectives into the real life problems of us ordinary folk... and the way to best serve our problems, issues, and cases in the legal arena.
I handle both trial and appellate work, so, when a client first enters my office, my staff and I begin the process of "preparation, preparation, preparation" for trial and appeal, if necessary.
My practice is as a "general practitioner", and I handle a variety of cases, including:
- Criminal cases, felonies and misdemeanors, drug cases, murder, rape, robbery, assault, battery, DWI, etc.;
- Domestic relations/family law, including divorce, custody, support, visitation, paternity, grandparental issues;
- Personal injury, including car wrecks, truck collisions;
- Probate, wills, power of attorney, advance directives;
- Business, contracts, LLC, incorporations, partnerships;
- other matters.
I have handled cases which have established landmark legal precedents in Arkansas and Oklahoma.
