Over Seventy Years of Tradition

Landrigan & Company's roots are among the deepest in Indianapolis real estate history. Three generations of Savage-Landrigans have worked with buyers and sellers of residential real estate for over seventy years. Hundreds of agents have been members of the family's firms. More importantly, a reputation of competence and professionalism has been earned.

Bruce C. Savage, a cheery, principled man whose voice had briefly taken him to Broadway, settled down and began the practice of real estate in Indianapolis with a leading local firm in 1940. Within a short period of time, he was the leading North Side agent. In 1944, he opened the Bruce Savage Company. Chiefly specializing in the brokerage of fine homes and properties on the North Side and then-suburban areas of Indianapolis, the firm quickly grew to become Indiana's largest residential real estate firm in terms of production. The firm was among the first in Indianapolis to establish branch offices and encourage women agents.

G.B. Landrigan graduated from Wabash College the following year and entered real estate. For twenty years, he worked with one of the city's leading real estate organizations; By March of 2005, however, he sensed that the time was right to create a new firm that embraced the values and unique qualities of the old Savage Company while blending it with a more modern business model that would attract agents who value independence, knowledge, and discretion. The creation of Landrigan & Company established the reemergence of one of Indianapolis's very few "boutique" firms.
