Mid-Valley Insurance, Inc was founded in 1972 by Don Hinman who started the agency from scratch. Today, Mid-Valley Insurance is recognized as a trustworthy, reputable, quality independent insurance agency located in the Yakima Valley.
Don Hinman, CIC-President
President of Mid-Valley Insurance, Inc., Don graduated from Hasting College with a degree in Economics and Accounting and attended University of Nebraska Graduate School. Don started his insurance career in 1967 as a claims adjuster for a very large insurance company. In 1972, Don founded MVI from scratch and built it to what it is today. Don earned the prestigious CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) designation from The National Alliance of Insurance Education & Research in 1990.
Don is a member of Kamikan Kiwanis and has been the Board Chairman for Yakima Neighborhood Health since 1980. Don is a former Yakima City Council member.Our agents have over 200 years of overall insurance experience to offer our expertise to help you with any of your insurance needs.
