The firm was founded by Rand Koler in 1993 when he left the Seattle office of Miller Nash where he served as a partner in charge of real estate and banking law at the office. Before that Mr. Koler was a partner in the Seattle office of Davis Wright Tremaine, where he worked in the business and real estate practice areas.

Experience

The firm was started by Rand Koler in 1993 after he left the Miller Nash's Seattle office, where he was was a partner overseeing real estate and banking practice areas. Previous to that Mr. Koler was with Davis, Wright Tremaine, where he was a partner in the real estate and business practice areas.

Rand L. Koler & Associates has focused on representing businesses and individuals, serving as corporate counsel and as advisor. The firm oversees transactions, and both sues and defends lawsuits.

In representing our clients our foremost consideration is to attend to detail with expertise, diligence and foresight so as to avoid litigation risks. When, however, litigation is required we vigorously prosecute it. We have argued cases throughout Washington, including administrative hearings, state and federal trial courts, courts of appeals, and State Supreme Court cases. Alternative dispute resolution methods have also proven to be an efficient means of resolving some issues.

For years we have adapted our fee structure to our client's requirements. We have a flat fee schedule for common relatively simple matters such as simple real estate sales and purchases, simple business transactions, document preparation, lease review, title review, foreclosures and evictions. There are other alternative fee arrangements available as well and before undertaking a project we develop a budget with the client.
