At Robinson McFadden & Moore, PC, we are proud of and challenged by our century-long history as one of South Carolina's premier law firms. The early members of the law firm helped shape tort law and influenced the early development of libel law in South Carolina. The firm's attorneys were also active in the growth and development of Columbia and the State of South Carolina. David W. Robinson, Jr. led a citizen's committee established to promote the building of a new stadium for the University of South Carolina. Robinson was also instrumental in helping the City of Columbia obtain funding through the New Deal's Reconstruction Finance Corporation to create the Housing Authority for the City of Columbia. This interest in the growth of the community and State continues today. More recently, the firm assisted the University of South Carolina in obtaining the property where the Carolina Coliseum now stands and was instrumental in the development of the Koger Center for the Arts. The firm represented an economic development lender in loans to start-up companies throughout South Carolina and a developer of movie theater complexes throughout the Southeast
