In 1935, Sanford & Tatum Insurance Agency was founded in the developing town of Lubbock, Texas by C. A. Sanford and his son, Marion. As the young community became an established university town, the Sanford & Tatum Insurance Agency grew into an outstanding regional resource, offering comprehensive insurance protection and superior service to businesses and individuals in many states. The leadership of the agency passed to the third generation when Douglas Sanford became president in 1972. Diannah Tatum's 30-year contribution was recognized in 2007 with the addition of her name.
For more than 75 years, continuity of service has been only one of the mainstays at Sanford & Tatum Insurance. Even more important is our emphasis on customer service, top professional credentials, continuing education for the staff and leadership in civic affairs and professional insurance organizations.
