Frank Barat
Frank Barat is a shareholder at The Barat Firm, PC. Frank handles personal injury cases and other civil litigation matters. Frank has spent his entire legal career in East Texas representing indiviudals, businesses, and insurance companies in lawsuits involving automobile accidents, truck accidents, industrial accidents, jobsite and workplace accidents, commercial disputes, wrongful death and survival cases, and other complex legal matters. He also represents minor children in personal injury cases and in Child Protective Services removal cases pro bono.
Frank graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor's degree and earned his law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law. While in law school Frank was a member of the Texas Tech Law Review. He is admitted to practice before all state courts in Texas and before the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Texas. Frank was recognized as a "Rising Star" by Texas Super Lawyers in 2022 and 2023.
Away from the office, Frank has served on the boards of Keep Tyler Beautiful and the Smith County Young Lawyers Association. He is a member of the Texas Bar Foundation, the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Bar College, and the Smith County Bar Association. In 2023 Frank was recognized as the "Outstanding Young Lawyer" by the Smith County Bar Association. Frank is an active member of St. Francis Episcopal Church. He lives in Tyler with his wife and children.
