United Properties traces its roots back to 1916 when it was formed to manage the real estate assets of the Hamm's Brewing Company. Today, United Properties is a privately-owned commercial real estate development and investment firm with offices in Minneapolis and Denver and properties in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Colorado.
Headquartered in Minneapolis, United Properties is a top developer in the retail, residential, office, medical and industrial sectors in the Twin Cities. In addition to a large presence in the Minneapolis-St. Paul market, United Properties has extensive operations in Colorado where it develops and invests in retail, office, and flex office buildings.
In the last 30 years and through these two offices, United Properties has developed nearly 200 projects totaling more than ten million square feet in retail, residential, office, flex office, medical, educational and industrial space with costs exceeding nearly $1 billion. Its development work includes speculative properties for investment and a comprehensive build-to-suit program. In addition, United Properties develops business parks and mixed-use projects, and offers development services to third-party investors/owners.
In 2004, United Properties received the National Developer of the Year Award from the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), the commercial real estate industry's leading trade association.
